Three major drug busts within two weeks involving Haitians, Jamaicans and Bahamians highlight Haiti's increasing role in regional drug smuggling. Haitian police seized about 426 kilograms of cannabis at a private residence off the coast of the Petite-Anse area near downtown Cap-Haïtien.
