CAP-HAÏTIEN — After artisans, entrepreneurs, and chefs displayed food, clothing accessories, drinks, and more during the Notre-Dame Grand Fair on Aug. 15, it was time for some of Cap-Haïtien’s rara band musicians to showcase their talents on The Boulevard the following day.
Indeed, on Friday, about five rara bands participated in Rara Fest, an event that is part of the month-long celebration of Cap-Haïtien’s 354th anniversary.
In addition to the rara bands, models adorned in various costumes marched, and dancers performed on The Boulevard.
Rara Fest was part of Okap Flavors, a series of events organized by the media group Sakapfèt Okap for the month-long celebration of the city’s anniversary.
Following are some images from Rara Fest.
