CAP-HAITIEN — After a 22-day major clean-up, the largest Cap-Haïtien’s indoor market reopened on Monday, July 22. The much needed makeover was done ahead of the city’s anniversary on Aug. 15. 

Before the project, vendors and customers often used to press onto each other when they walked around the market due to limited space. Now, there is much more space inside the reorganized market. Workers marked where vendors must sit with a blue square on the floor so they do not sit too close to each other.
