Katizana art workshops bring hope to inmates amid Haiti’s increasing prison challenges
The Katizana initiative currently faces shortages of funding, exhibition venues and promotion for inmate-created artwork. Challenges that have worsened due to the insecurity that destroyed some of the organization’s workshops inside Haiti’s prisons.
