Overtown’s Photographic Journey, 1920-1950. This free exhibit at the Miami Riverside Center features over 80 photos showcasing life in one of Miami’s oldest neighborhoods. During the Jim Crow era, Overtown was nicknamed “Colored Town” due to its predominantly Black and Brown residents, including a significant Haitian population.
